Join Us on April 18th to Celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Barbados’ Independence and Help us Raise Funds to Donate Vital Medical Equipment to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Barbados
Bring On The Spring is our annual fundraising event for the donation of medical equipment to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Barbados (QEH). But this year it is more than that – it is a marquee event in Barbados’ year-long celebration of its diamond jubilee of independence.
Our goal is to raise $50,000 CAD for the donation of 2 Blood Gas Machines to the QEH. This equipment will be used in diagnosing and managing severe conditions such as respiratory failure, shock kidney disease or diabetic emergencies.
Bring On The Spring 2026 will be held on Saturday, April 18th at Pearson Convention Center, Brampton, beginning at 5:00pm. Guests will enjoy a delicious 4-course dinner and exciting live entertainment. There will be live and silent auctions, a raffle and door prize draws, with prizes including a 7-night stay for two with breakfast at The Crane, 4-5-night stays at other premium Barbados hotels and an Air Canada
return ticket to Barbados. In addition, the 2025 BCF Raffle Lottery draw will be held at the event.

Help Our Youth Create Their Future
In 2025 we received forty-one applications, however, donation receipts were disappointing and while all applicants were fully deserving of our support, we were only able to grant fifteen (15) scholarships. We thank all donors, especially scholarship sponsors: Barbados Overseas Community Canada (BOCC),
Bass Installation Ltd, Blue Circle Energy, Diproinduca Canada Ltd, Gloria Baylis Foundation and Rudder Reid Charitable Foundation for their support. ‘Thank You’ also to the members of the Scholarships Selection Panel for their continued hard work and commitment to Barbados Canada Foundation.
In an attempt to increase the funds available for scholarship grants and to satisfy the increasing demand, last September we organized the BCF Raffle Lottery with the draw to be held in December. Regrettably, ticket sales were slow and we have had to extend the raffle, which will now close on April 11th with the draw being held on April 18th at Bring On The Spring 2026. Please see the flyer below and support the raffle. You may also support the scholarships program and our youth by making a donation or sponsoring a scholarship. Please CLICK HERE TO DONATE and contact us at bcfscholarships@gmail.com to sponsor a scholarship.

Join Us and Help Make a Difference
Barbados Canada Foundation is operated entirely by volunteers. Our board of directors consists of eleven volunteers who are responsible for the organization’s governance and management.
Directors serve for a period of three years and are elected at the Annual General Meeting each year. Other volunteers assist board members in organizing fundraising activities such as Bring On The Spring – an annual event which raises funds to purchase medical equipment for donation to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Barbados, the Annual Golf Tournament – which raises funds for donations to other healthcare initiatives, and the Annual BCF Raffle Lottery –
a fundraiser for the BCF Scholarships Program.
In addition to the Board of Directors BCF has three standing committees: BCF Scholarships Program, Communications Committee and Fundraising Committee. Volunteers are needed for each committee. See the mandates for the Board and for the Standing Committees and let us know of your interest.

A tax receipt is issued for each donation of $25 or more

Because We Care
Barbados Canada Foundation is contributing to the improvement of healthcare in Barbados by supporting the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) through the donation of essential medical equipment. We also contribute to the SickKids-Caribbean Initiative, funding pediatric nurse training to enhance care for children with cancer and serious blood disorders across the region. Additionally, we support Camp Jumoke, a Toronto-based summer camp enriching the lives of children living with Sickle Cell Disease. Your donations make these life-changing efforts possible.

Supporting The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Barbados
Since 2019, Barbados Canada Foundation has donated vital medical equipment valued at over CAD$252,239 to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) Barbados' primary acute care hospital. From ultrasound machines to patient monitors, these contributions directly improve patient care. Financed by Bring On The Spring our annual fundraising dinner, the equipment donated is selected by QEH management and purchased by BCF directly from the hospital's approved suppliers.

We Need Your Support
Your donation empowers the work we do—from funding scholarships for Barbadian youth, to providing life-saving medical equipment to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, to enhancing care for children suffering from cancer and blood disorders and supporting children with Sickle Cell Disease. Every contribution - large or small has lasting effect. Please make a donation and help change a life. A tax receipt is issued for each donation of $25.00 or more.
