A Giving Heart Is A Caring Heart
Barbados Canada Foundation is a registered Canadian charity committed to improving lives through education and healthcare. Our vision is of “A world in which each youth can
realize his or her potential. A world in which the best medical care is available to everyone.”

Help Our Youth Create Their Future
In 2025 we received forty-one applications, however, while all applicants were fully deserving of our support, we were only able to grant fifteen (15) scholarships. We thank all individual donors and our scholarship sponsors: Bass Installation Ltd, Blue Circle Energy, BOCC (no longer in operation), Diproinduca Canada Ltd, Gloria Baylis Foundation and Rudder Reid Charitable Foundation for their support. ‘Thank You’ also to the members of the Scholarships Selection Panel for their continued hard work and commitment to Barbados Canada Foundation.
In an attempt to increase the funds available for scholarship grants and to satisfy the increasing demand, last September we organized the BCF Raffle Lottery with the draw to be held in December. Regrettably, ticket sales were slow and we had to extend the raffle, which closed on April 11th with the winners being announced on April 18th at Bring On The Spring 2026. Please see the details of the winners below.
Unfortunately the Raffle Lottery did not generate a meaningful amount for the Scholarships Program and we remain hopeful that your donations will fund a number of scholarships and enhance our efforts to help our youth realize their dreams. Please CLICK HERE TO DONATE and contact us at bcfscholarships@gmail.com should you wish to sponsor a scholarship.
We are accepting applications to the BCF Scholarships Program for 2026. Please review the Application Guidelines carefully and ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria before submitting your application. Please download, complete and submit your Application by June 24th. Applications submitted after this deadline will not be accepted. Scholarship recipients will be notified by August 19th.

Join Us and Help Make a Difference
Barbados Canada Foundation is operated entirely by volunteers. Our board of directors consists of eleven volunteers who are responsible for the organization’s governance and management.
Directors serve for a period of three years and are elected at the Annual General Meeting each year. Other volunteers assist board members in organizing fundraising activities such as Bring On The Spring – an annual event which raises funds to purchase medical equipment for donation to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Barbados, the Annual Golf Tournament – which raises funds for the Scholarships Program and for other healthcare initiatives, and the Annual BCF Raffle Lottery – a fundraiser for the BCF Scholarships Program.
In addition to the Board of Directors BCF has three standing committees: BCF Scholarships Program, Communications Committee and Fundraising Committee. Volunteers are needed for each committee. See the mandates for the Board and for the Standing Committees and let us know of your interest.

“We Still Need Your Support”
Held on Saturday, April 18th at Pearson Convention Center, Bring On The Spring 2026 received glowing reviews for its outstanding entertainment featuring 2025 Pic-O-De-Crop Monarch ‘Mr. Blood’, delicious food and great prizes in the auctions, raffle and door prize draws. Just over three hundred guests enjoyed the event and $27,300 was raised to fund the donation of the two Blood Gas Machines needed by the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH). However, we fell short of the $50,000 required. If you attended Bring On The Spring 2026 or donated in support of the QEH, thank you. If you were unable to attend or to make a donation to date, we still need your support and ask that you make a donation to help us provide the hospital with this vital diagnostic equipment.

You may also donate by e-transfer to Barbados Canada Foundation at treasurerbcf@gmail.com and advise us of your full address in a separate email, to facilitate issuance of your tax receipt. If donating by cheque please mail your donation to Barbados Canada Foundation, PO Box 13502, 3221 Derry Road #3, Mississauga, Ontario L5N 8G5.
Thank you for your partnership in our efforts to assist the QEH in providing quality healthcare to our family, friends and others in Barbados.

Because We Care
Barbados Canada Foundation is contributing to the improvement of healthcare in Barbados by supporting the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) through the donation of essential medical equipment. We also contribute to the SickKids-Caribbean Initiative, funding pediatric nurse training to enhance care for children with cancer and serious blood disorders across the region. Additionally, we support Camp Jumoke, a Toronto-based summer camp enriching the lives of children living with Sickle Cell Disease. Your donations make these life-changing efforts possible.

Supporting The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Barbados
Since 2019, Barbados Canada Foundation has donated vital medical equipment valued at over CAD$252,239 to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) Barbados' primary acute care hospital. From ultrasound machines to patient monitors, these contributions directly improve patient care. Financed by Bring On The Spring our annual fundraising dinner, the equipment donated is selected by QEH management and purchased by BCF directly from the hospital's approved suppliers.

We Need Your Support
Your donation empowers the work we do—from funding scholarships for Barbadian youth, to providing life-saving medical equipment to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, to enhancing care for children suffering from cancer and blood disorders and supporting children with Sickle Cell Disease. Every contribution - large or small has lasting effect. Please make a donation and help change a life. A tax receipt is issued for each donation of $25.00 or more.
